About

Hi! I’m Amy. I am an artist and photographer.

I have always had a passion for art. Growing up, I spent my summers enrolled in many different art classes at Wellesley College and Yale University. Some of these classes included painting, drawing, stained glass, screen printing, and photography.

After falling in love with photography, I went to Northeastern University to study art and photography. While taking photography and other visual art courses, I was introduced to graphic design and typography. I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art with a concentration in photography and a minor in graphic design.

Currently, I have put my efforts into my fine art photography. I am working on a series of acrylic gel transfers that I print on wooden panels about my memories entitled “Just a Series of Blurs.” This series hung in the Griffin Museum of Photography in May of 2010 has been published in [Nerve] Volume 2: Edition 1 in the summer of 2010.

Over the summer of 2010 I travelled through the western half of the United States on a motorcycle trip. We rode every day and saw some amazing sights. I posted daily updates of where we traveled and what we had seen. I’m normally not a landscape photographer but there were so many amazing sights, I had to share them with all of you.

I also have experience shooting in the studio, but those images tend to lend themselves to the commercial side of my photography.
